Elstow CC’s Junior Cricket Programme 2012
Elstow Cricket Club is pleased to announce that we will start our eagerly anticipated 2012 Summer Youth Cricket Program on Friday the 20th of April! If you want your children to get some exercise, have lots of fun, and learn to play Cricket in the Spirit of the Game, then come on down to our first session on the 20th of April at 530, or contact us by email or phone!
Cricket is available for children in School Years 1 and up (and younger if we get enough interest!). Training will be held on Fridays, with Under 10s and Under 12s training starting at 5.30pm and finishing at 7pm, and Under 14s from 6.30pm until 8pm (light permitting). Training will run every Friday throughout summer, including during School Holidays. Under 16s will train with our Senior sides on Wednesday evenings at 6.30pm, starting the 25th of April.
We will be running five Youth Teams, Under 10s, 12s, 14s, and 16s. We will also run a Development Team on Sundays, which will be a mix of U14s, U16s, and adults, playing 40 over per innings matches to bridge the gap between youth cricket and adult cricket. Youth Membership will be £35 for the season, which includes an Elstow CC cricket shirt. There are no extra charges for training; however we will be introducing a £2 match fee for all youth teams.
We have lots of cool new equipment to make the sessions even more fun, including a new Astroturf pitch for U10 and U12 matches, a slip catching cradle, and a new training aid that promises to revolutionise local cricket- our exclusive gutterboards! We are particularly keen to add to our U10 and U16 squads, however please note that we do have limited numbers per squad, so if you can’t make it on the 20th and are eager to join, then please let us know.
Elstow CC is Clubmark Accredited, and we utilise Level 2 ECB Qualified Coaches. The Club has also adopted the ECB Safe Hands policy. For this and other Club documentation please see the Documentation tab.
Like any volunteer run Club, we are always looking for assistance, so if you want to get involved with helping the Club in any capacity then please let us know. If you are interested in joining or helping, then please contact Geoff Couling on 07875341926, or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Otherwise please download the registration form below, fill it in, and bring it along to the first session on the 20th of April!
