A Brief History of ECC
Elstow Cricket Club, as we know it, was formed in 1946 in the immediate aftermath of World War II. A small village club for several decades, it is only since the turn of the century that Elstow CC has risen to prominence. The club played only friendly cricket up until 1971,
before entering the Bedford and District League, where they stayed until winning the Premier Division in 1999. For the 2000 season, fresh pastures were sought in the Millman Leagues, and after seven mostly successful seasons the club moved to the Morrant Four Counties Cricket League, where both the first and second teams won their leagues in their first season.
