Elstow Under 13′s captain Sumit Karunakotha led from the front with a majestic 31 not out, sharing a 50 partnership with Morgan Dedman (21) – in a 37-run victory over Eversholt in the first round of the ECB Under 13s National Cup. After amassing 131 from 20 overs, Elstow then restricted the home side to 94. Miller Woskett and David Whitfield both taking two wickets.
Sumit Karunakotha was presented with a merit award for his superb effort in this game.
